Cathy Beaton, MS, NCPsyA, LPC, is a licensed psychotherapist who is dedicated to helping couples and individuals enhance the quality of their sexual and intimate relationships.

Better sex and satisfying emotional connection begin at the first therapy session as Cathy learns about you and your concerns. With a warm, collaborative approach, she answers your questions and begins to clarify the frustrations you are experiencing in your love life.

A graduate of The New York-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center Human Sexuality Program, where Cathy Beaton remains actively involved, she is also a graduate of Westchester Institute for Training in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy. Her professional knowledge of sex, love and relationships inspired Cathy to work with men and women whose psychosexual symptoms and histories make them more vulnerable to problems with trust and secure attachment, which can contribute to psychological distress in intimate relationships.

Cathy Beaton's professional memberships include American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT); Society for Sex Therapy and Research (SSTAR) and National Association for the Advancement of Psychoanalysis (NAAP). Cathy has a private practice on Manhattan's Upper East Side and in Connecticut. She welcomes appointment and consultation inquiries and is available for therapy sessions in person, through online platforms and/or by phone. Payment is due in full at the time of service and a paid invoice will be provided that you can submit to your insurance carrier.
